PUSH, PULL AND HINGE

This class utilizes resistance bands, weights and body weight exercises to practice and teach push, pull and hinge type movements. The goal is to develop skeletal muscle, bone density and balance which translates to pretty much any sport you might be doing already. We believe that everyone should be doing strength training, as part of their weekly exercise routine because of the powerful role skeletal muscles plays in general health and functional well being. You do not need previous experience with weights to join, and the space encourages you to do what you can, according to the level of ability to arrive with.

This class is about sheer resilience, and makes use of simple resistance training exercises to push, pull and hinge. The best available method of maintaining and improving muscle strength, balance, joint and bone health is through resistance training. Combining this with proper rest, nutrition and stress management can help you better your confidence as a moving human at any age. This class uses resistance bands and weights under instruction, and you do not require any previous experience or training in this area to join. 

I am back to being in the outdoors following spinal surgery.
Since joining The Movement Centre and taking part in the weekly classes I have gotten stronger than I was even before my injury!
